Dylan was brought up in Caernarfon and moved down to Cardiff in 2001, where he had the chance to combine his love for rugby with studying Dentistry. After enjoying his time in the city for 10 years, Dylan moved back to North Wales to be closer to his family, and started to work in Criccieth as a Dentist.

In 2015, Dylan bought Glandwr Dental Practice. Since then it has grown substantially, and has expanded the team with many new additions, including his wife. They now have three beautiful children and still reside in Caernarfon.

Every single member of the team at Glandwr brings a unique skill set to the mix, which makes it such a pleasurable working environment. By 2018, Glandwr had outgrown the current premises. There was a large local demand for a dentist which provided both cosmetic services and cutting edge dentistry. This allowed Dylan to open a new branch in Pwllheli.

Dylan thoroughly enjoys getting to know all of his patients, whilst offering them a full range of general dentistry. However, his passion is in cosmetic dentistry. Dylan enjoys being able to transform something as unique and personal as a smile. He is excited to see what the future of dentistry will bring, and will continue to strive to have Glandwr at the forefront.

Born and bred around the Caernarfon area, Lois studied Dentistry at Leeds University and then moved back to North Wales. After working at the hospital and community centres, Lois came to work at Deintyddfa Glandwr in 2015. Here, she met her husband, Dylan, and they now have 3 beautiful children; Magi, Eli and Loti, and live in Caernarfon. Lois thoroughly enjoys working at Glandwr, mainly due to the great team.

She plans to specialise further in a particular dental field once her girls are older, but for now she enjoys doing general dentistry.

In her spare time, Lois plays hockey for Caernarfon Ladies and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Originally from Bontnewydd, Annest attended Ysgol Syr Hugh Owen, and following various work experiences and some suggestions from her mother, she went on to study dentistry.

Annest graduated from Cardiff University in 2007. She stayed in Cardiff to complete her vocational training before travelling to Australia. There, she worked as a dentist for Queensland Health, and was based in Cairns. Her duties included working as a school and community dentist, as well as a dentist alongside the Flying Doctors to provide dental care in remote areas. After 6 months, she took the rest of the year purely to travel; this included more of Australia, as well as New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, and South America.

Annest returned to North Wales in 2009 and felt she needed more hospital experience. She completed 6 months training in the MaxilloFacial department in the Gwynedd and Glan Clwyd Hospitals, before spending another 6 months with the Community Dental Service.

In October 2010, Annest met her partner Rhys, and also started working in Deintyddfa Glandwr. She has been stuck with both ever since – more or less!

Having experienced a few years in practice, Annest wanted a new challenge and therefore enrolled on a Postgraduate Certificate course in Dental Sedation and Pain management at UCL. She took examinations in London 6 days before the due date of her daughter (who was safely born back in Wales) in November 2018. She completed the course whilst on maternity leave, and is now happy to provide sedation for any anxious patients.

Annest and Rhys live with their daughter Elena, close to Rhys’ family farm near Dolgellau. Her spare time is spent helping with various jobs on the farm or catching up with friends and family.

Tracy qualified with a National Certificate in Dental Nursing at the Bristol Dental School in the year 2000. She joined Deintyddfa Glandwr in 2006, and became our practice manager gaining her practice management certificate year 1 and 2.

Tracy enjoys the day-to-day challenges which the role brings, and keeping up to date with the current legislation.

Tracy is also an extended duties dental nurse, with a certificate in Oral Health Education from the British Dental Association, and delivers oral health sessions at the practice.

Away from the practice Tracy enjoys going on coastal walks, attending fitness classes, listening to music and audio books, and spending time with family and friends.

Lois joined the Glandwr team in 2013 as a trainee dental nurse. She completed her dental nursing qualification in 2015 and went on to nurse for the NHS and private sector. In 2016, she progressed to becoming a lead nurse, and did a further course to become the Infection Prevention and Control Lead in 2019.

Lois enjoys all aspects of her role as a dental nurse, but in particular assisting in cosmetic dentistry and being able to be a part of the patient’s journey to their perfect smile!

Lois’ second child is due in the summer of 2020. She loves spending time with her family as well as running her little side business Balwns.

Ella Roberts is our practice co-ordinator at Glandwr Dental Practice. 

Ella joined in 2018 as a trainee Dental Nurse. She then went on to confidently nurse for the NHS and the private sector. 

Ella is also our social media manager at Glandwr – she enjoys this part of the job thoroughly

Ella devotes much of her time in getting to know her patients. She offers high quality care by making sure they are confident and relaxed before treatments. 

In her spare time, Ella enjoys seeing her family and friends, and takes advantage of any opportunity to travel the world!

Donna Parry is the receptionist at Glandwr Dental Practice in our Criccieth Practice.

Stephanie qualified as a dental nurse back in 2017, and is now a lead Dental Nurse at Glandwr. In the future, Stephanie would like to qualify as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist.

Her hobbies include socialising with friends and Crossfit. She lives a very active lifestyle, and also coaches at Yard 6 Strength and Conditioning in Porthmadog

Sian is a trainee dental nurse that is hoping to become a qualified dental nurse by the end of 2020. Her current role is to assist the dentist by setting up the correct equipment for each treatment. Sian also ensures that all equipment is sterilised and clean for the next patient.

Sian loves her role as she gets to meet new people and see different treatments take place. She also loves seeing how confident a patient walks out of the practice with their new smile.

In her spare time, Sian enjoys walking around the Llyn Peninsula and attending fitness classes.

Michaela, a trainee dental nurse at Glandwr, enjoys cooking and walking her two dogs, Sky and Benji. Her aspirations entail completing her dental nursing course to attain certification as a qualified dental nurse in early 2025. 

Trainee dental nurse at Glandwr, Lydia is also a qualified hairdresser and beauty therapist. In her spare time Lydia enjoys going to the gym and spending time with friends and family. Her plans in the future are to pass her dental nursing exam and travel the world.
